January 8: General Membership Meeting

 LULAC Lambda will meet Tuesday, January 8, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Human Rights Campaign, located at 1640 Rhode Island Ave. N.W. in Washington DC. Our featured speaker is Gabriel Garcia Vera from Catholics for Choice. New members are welcome. Food will be provided. RSVP here.

January 15: Youth Mentorship Power Hour

 LULAC Lambda will kick off a new year of mentorship at the Mount Pleasant Library on Tuesday, January 15. Both youth councils will meet on the same evening to learn about professional development, social issues, and Latinx History from members of the Latinx community. 

January 19: National Women's March

January 21: DC's 13th Annual MLK Parade

LULAC Lambda will participate in the 13th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Parade. We will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 21, at the Anacostia Arts Center 1231 Good Hope Rd SE. The parade will then assemble in Anacostia Park located at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE and Good Hope Road SE and officially begin at 12 p.m. RSVP here! 

January 23: Wednesday Citizenship Workshop

LULAC Lambda and AQUA DC invite LGBTQ Permanent Residents from DC/Maryland/Virginia who want to learn about becoming a U.S. Citizen. Attorney Cameron Chong, who specializes in LGBTQ immigrant cases, will help you navigate the process and answer any questions. Classes are free. Join us Wednesday, January 23, 7-8 p.m. at the DC Center, located at 2000 14th St. NW, Suite 105, in Washington, DC. RSVP here.
